Our Story
It Started With My Oldest Daughter!
XR² Nourishments wasn't created in a laboratory—it was born from a mother's determination to help her child.
My oldest daughter struggled with seborrheic dermatitis, a condition that caused persistent scalp irritation, excessive dryness, flaking, itching, and periods of inflammation. Over time, she also experienced significant hair thinning and hair loss that was heartbreaking to witness as a parent.
In addition to her scalp concerns, she also struggled with extremely dry, rough skin around her elbows despite trying numerous commercial products.
As a Jamaican mother raised with an appreciation for botanical traditions and natural ingredients, I began researching plants, oils, and butters that had been used for generations to nourish the skin and scalp. I spent countless hours studying ingredient science, experimenting with formulations, and carefully creating products that I felt confident using on my own family.
Little by little, I began noticing positive changes. Her scalp appeared healthier and more comfortable, her skin became noticeably softer and better moisturized, and over time I watched her hair begin growing back. Those moments became the foundation of what would eventually become XR² Nourishments.
Today, every product is handcrafted with the same purpose that inspired our very first jar—to create nourishing botanical skincare and scalp care rooted in Caribbean tradition, guided by nature, and made with love for families like ours.
